About Greenbanks Homecare and Live-In Care

Greenbanks Homecare is a family-run business set up by Simon Parris in 1986 as Greenbanks Nursing Home.

Simon understood the desires of elderly and vulnerable people to remain in their own homes and recognised the benefits they can enjoy by maintaining their independence and dignity in familiar surroundings.

In 1993 he opened the first Greenbanks homecare office in Liphook, Hampshire.

A second office followed a year later in Cardiff, Wales – and we continued to grow so that we now provide homecare from 19 offices across the whole of southern England and Wales.

In 2009 we opened a new office in Liphook to support the successful Live-In Care business in its expansion across the country.

Our offices are located at the heart of the communities we serve. If you would like some extra help at home, or if you are interested in working with us as a care assistant, we will welcome a visit from you to discuss what we have to offer.

Greenbanks Training

Recognising the need for professional carers delivering a high standard of service, Simon Parris established Greenbanks Training to deliver bespoke, in-house training.

Our training business has expanded as we have added more personalised services – we are introducing more courses in mental health care and we are looking into the potential for Telecare to help people remain independent for longer in their own homes. Telecare is a safety monitoring system fitted in the home and linked to a call centre. It is able to alert people using the system when they are at risk.

A Family Business

Greenbanks’ founder, Simon Parris, is still active in the group as Chairman, continuing to carry through his vision for a business founded on high standards and helping more people remain independent at home.

Several members of the Parris family are closely involved in the business day-to-day, notably Simon’s daughter, Rachael, and his son, Matthew.
