What GB Training Can Do For You
At Greenbanks we’re a team, so we make sure all our care staff are fully trained and confident they will carry out their work skilfully and sensitively.
Every care assistant, whether joining homecare or live-in care, goes through our comprehensive induction training. It’s a flexible, 4-day programme that you can do all at once or over a period of weeks, depending on your own commitments.
Your manager will review your training with you but we’ll also give you further support to get you up and running – we back up your formal training by arranging for you to shadow one of our experienced care assistants for a while.
Our induction will get you ready to begin providing help and support out in the community, even if you have never worked in the care industry before.
And if you are an experienced care assistant, you’ll still complete our induction to make sure you are armed with all the knowledge and skills we believe are essential for providing high quality care.
All our trainers have more than 10 years’ experience of homecare, both as carers and managers. They are qualified to at least NVQ Level 3-4, and they are friendly and welcoming as well as very knowledgeable about care training.
You’ll be asked to complete your induction at one of our convenient, local training offices where you’ll find on-site parking and facilities nearby.
Our Training Managers are based locally and directed from our training headquarters in Liphook, Hampshire. You are likely to see them again after your induction because they conduct further live-in care and homecare training to make sure all our staff can deliver excellent care.
You’ll have continuing support from your manager through regular supervision and appraisals. You’ll be able to develop your career by adding more skills in areas that interest you.
Our aim is to help you help us continue delivering a wide range of care and support services sensitively and efficiently to people living in their own homes.
